In my 10+ years of newsstand magazine experience, the trick has always been to never overpower the embroidered garment with text cover and for the text cover to never get lost in the photograph. Until you are using a celebrity – Cover design is a delicate balance of art and marketing when you are competing on the shelf with everyone else.
